We Speak- The Arts of Words in Literacy creates access, awareness, opportunities, and pathways for children in low-socioeconomic communities across the counties of San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Riverside, and Orange to successfully develop the literacy skills necessary for function in today’s society..
We Speak- The Arts of Words in Literacy (We Speak) is a nonprofit organization that corrects and repairs the literacy skills of children in grades K-12 using a model that strategically integrates the “arts” into lessons. We Speak aims to bridge the foundational literacy gaps that children from low socioeconomic and English second language homes face while progressing through today’s educational system. Our goal is to ensure that all children have the literacy skills needed for educational, vocational, and entrepreneurial success.
We are based in the Inland Empire and work with students, educators, and families across the state of California and around the country.
